Lankester Botanical Gardens

Lankester Botanical Gardens
Located near the small town of Paraíso this amazing garden was created by British orchid lover Charles Lankester

Here visitors can find a great variety of plants, being the collection of orchids its major attraction withapproximately 800 varieties.

Blooming season is a must, seeing is believing!!! If you visit Costa Rica during this time of the year you should not miss the visitat Lankester Gardens.

In addition to orchids,onecan explorethrough lush areas of bromelias, heliconias and palms, allperfectly at home in asecondary tropical forest.

One interesting aspect of Lankester Gardens are the informative plaques that "introduce" its plants and flowers.

These informative labelsare agood learning ground before you discover the "non labeled" Costarican forests and national parks

Guided walks are offered to visitors every half hour from 8.30 am to 2.30 pm daily
