Playa Langosta
Playa Langosta, once a quiet, leatherback-turtle nesting beach, is fast becoming an upscale, gentrified extension of Tamarindo, separated by a rocky headland at high tide.
Expensive, private villas are beginning to crowd out the old B&Bs, and the sound of hammers and drills now competes with the calls of seabirds. Luckly the beach is still quiet in the early morning, perfect for bird-watching and solitary walks.
A large well-shaped river-mouth waves near the north end of the beach, makin this a popular spot for surfers.
